
Ramakrishna Yadav (Swami Ramdev) is an Indian yoga-master from a village called Ali Saidpur, located in Mahendragarh district of Haryana state in India. He contributed in the field of Yogasana and Pranayama Yoga. Swami Ramdev himself organizes yoga camps from place to place, in which people from almost every community come.
After completing his studies up to eighth grade from the government school in the nearby village of Shahzadpur, Ramakrishna learned Vedas, Sanskrit and Yoga from Acharya Pradyumna and Yogacharya Baldev ji in a Gurukul in Khanpur village. Ramakrishna resolved to take sanyasa at a young age and became popularly known as Baba Ramdev.
Baba Ramdev is the founder of Divya Yog Mandir Trust in 1995, and was featured by Aastha TV in its morning yoga slot. He is the reason why half the nation and a number of celebrities from India & abroad started practicing Yoga. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty are some of his disciples, among others. He co-founded Patanjali Ayurveda Limited with his colleague Balakrishna. He is known for his work in ayurveda, business, politics and agriculture.
In 2006, Swami Ramdev established two service projects named Patanjali Ayurveda Limited, a state-of-the-art drug manufacturing unit in addition to Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust in Maharishi Dayanand village Haridwar. Through these service projects, Swami Ramdev is propagating Yoga, Pranayama, spirituality etc. as well as Vedic education and Ayurveda. His discourses are broadcast on various TV channels like Aastha TV , Aastha International, Zee-Network, Sahara-One and India T.V.
